Behrens Moving and Storage is a Pennsylvania-licensed, insured moving company running our own six trucks and W-2 crews across Centre, Clearfield, Blair, Huntingdon, and Mifflin County since 2009. How Behrens got started
Owner Gary Behrens grew up in Bellefonte, loading his grandfather’s flatbed around the Centre County limestone quarries and dairy farms on weekends. He studied at Penn State and learned to wrap a farmhouse hutch helping neighbors clear out Boalsburg homesteads.
He spent nearly a decade behind the wheel of an over-the-road tractor for a regional van line out of Altoona, running I-99 and US-322 through the ridge country. He stood in too many Boalsburg and Bellefonte driveways watching a written binding estimate double the moment the truck crossed into Centre County and the homeowner had no leverage left.
A third-generation name on the truck
Gary’s grandfather ran a hauling and dray business out of Bellefonte back in the 1950s. In 2009, Gary put the family name back on the side of a truck, opened Behrens Moving and Storage out of a yard on Benner Pike, and gave Centre County families and Penn State faculty a real flat rate written down before the truck leaves the yard — his own crews, no brokered handoffs.

We run six trucks and a small roster of uniformed, background-checked Centre County employees as part of our full service lineup. The same people build your quote, hold your loading-dock window, and reassemble your bed frame in the new house. No load boards. No "matched" crew you never met.
